Which EZONE is Best for You? 100 vs. 98.

The EZONE 98 and the EZONE 100 may be from the same family of racquets, but they are for very different types of players. At the end of the day, it’s all summarized in the trade of between maneuverability and stability.

In tennis, there are two ways to achieve torsional stability in a racquet. The first is to design a beam that’s incredibly stiff, torsionally, so that off-centre shots are mean with an incredibly resilient structure. The second is to add weight to the 3 and 9 o’clock positions of the frame. The weight at the extremities of the frame help the racquet remain stable on impact, ensuring that is “wins” the collision with the ball. The EZONE 98 has a relatively low-ish twistweight at 14.03. The EZONE 100 comes in at a full point higher, 15.02. This is a 7% difference, which is a LOT, when it comes to racquets. 7% is the difference between a 100 square inch head and a 107, a 300g racquet and a 320g racquet.
