So you’ve just bought a new tennis racquet and you want to know what strings to put in it. For some, this can feel like a high-risk proposition. You’ve just spent 2-300 dollars on a brand new racquet and you don’t want to ruin it with the wrong string setup.

The following is a detail journal of the final stages in my racquet journey. I’ve narrowed down my shortlist to two racquets, the Auxetic Radical MP and the 2023 VCORE 98. Before I can commit to any racquet, I need to determine that I also have a viable string setup and customization plan (if needed).
