Racquet Reviews
Overall, I think this is my personal favourite Blade of all time. Does it feel as good as the V5? No, but it offers so much more playability. Tennisnerd actually told me I should switch to this racquet after we tested them.
Overall, in typical Yonex fashion, this is a very solid update that feels objectively superior. A more consistent feel, increased power and a more predictable response.
Us racquetaholics have been treated to some truly special frames, the all-out performance of the TFIGHT 305S, the sheer fun-factor of the Gravity Tour 98 but now its Dunlop’s turn.
I don’t think I’ve ever tested such a well rounded 100 in my life with the EZONE nailing two of the most important ratios on the market: stability to maneuverability AND power to control.
The overall playability of this stick lands us somewhere between the Blade 98 16x19 and the Head Extreme Pro. You get easier spin production and a more connected feel compared to the Blade but more stability and better depth control than the Extreme Pro.
The 2025 TFIGHT line is Tecnifibre’s masterpiece. These are some of the best racquets I have ever reviewed, checking off basically every single box.
A lot of this racquet’s love seems based on hype, which I think is fair because we should be excited. We’ve been asking for a Gravity 98 for years. We’ve been asking for glossy black paint for years. And Head actually gave it to us.
The Pure Drive 98 has long been the bastard child of Babolat’s lineup, left alone to writhe in the shadows cast by its big brothers, the Pure Strike 98 and the almighty Pure Aero 98. So for 2025, Babolat has made some big changes to the Pure Drive 98 to carve out a stronger identity for their least loved frame.
Taking balls early and on the rise is also a huge strength with this frame due to the rock solid stability and outstanding maneuverability, making it easy to time the ball accurately. This racquet simply does not flutter on contact which makes it incredibly predictable and controllable for a power frame.

Overall, I think the new Aero is a fantastic update that will split the audience. Some people will love it and some people will hate it and I think a huge part of that story is going to be about finding the right string setup.
